The Ceramic Art Center of Marin is a dynamic hub for professional ceramic artists and sculptors from the Bay Area and beyond.
By fostering connections between established and emerging artists, we encourage the exchange of knowledge, skills, and experiences essential for creative and professional growth.
Whether you’re an independent artist looking for space to create or a seasoned professional seeking fresh inspiration, CACM provides the support, resources, and environment to develop your craft and realize your artistic vision.
About us
At CACM, mentorship takes precedence over traditional teaching. Instead of standard classes, we offer workshops and ateliers led by experienced ceramicists. These collaborative sessions foster experimentation, dialogue, and skill development in a peer-driven environment, building a strong sense of community and shared creative growth.
Located in San Anselmo, our 1,500-square-foot studio offers professional and aspiring ceramic artists a serene, creative space with stunning views of Mount Tamalpais. Equipped with a gas kiln and mid- to low-range firing capabilities, the studio also features a showroom where artists can display and sell their work, making it a comprehensive center for creating and sharing art.
Our program
We offer atelier sessions exclusively for members, while both members and non-members can participate in our workshops and special events.
-
Atelier sessions are for members only. These 6 or 8-week sessions aim to cultivate specific areas of creativity and technique developed over a series of mentor-led programs.
-
Workshops are open to members and non-members. These 1-2 day sessions are led by guest speakers and concentrate on a specific technique or subject. They are a great way to improve your skills and learn about CACM.
-
Other events such as guest speakers, open studio, exhibits and community socials will be scheduled throughout the year.
Coming January 2025!
